Fertility Counseling in California
You’ve been on this journey for a while — married, single, divorced, in a relationship, straight, gay or otherwise. You’ve held onto hope again and again, only to feel crushed by disappointment, self-doubt, and exhaustion. You’ve tried so many things — diet changes, doctors, treatments, positive affirmations — and yet, here you are today, wondering:
“Why should I believe that things can be different?”
You might find yourself thinking, “Maybe something’s wrong with me. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Maybe everyone else will get pregnant except for me.”
You may feel the weight of isolation, or the emotional burden of being around mothers and pregnant women.
I hear you. I’ve been there.
And I want you to know — it can feel different. Together, we can bring order to the chaos, help you regulate your nervous system, and strengthen your sense of hope. I’m here to guide you through this process — from confusion and despair to clarity, emotional balance, and resilience.
You’ve done everything — and after another failed cycle, you don’t just need a plan. You need someone to carry this with you
You’re Doing Everything You Can — and It’s Still So Hard
Navigating the Emotional Rollercoaster of Infertility
What Happens in Fertility Therapy
Once you’ve shared your story and released the weight you’ve been carrying, we focus on creating clarity, insight, and emotional steadiness.
In our work together, you’ll build hope, resilience, and tools to bring more flow and regulation into your body. We’ll use meditations, breathing, and gentle movement to support your nervous system, and create a safe container for disappointment and pain so they no longer feel overwhelming.
You’ll also develop a strong and grounded mindset, learn to let go of limiting beliefs and inhibitions, and use focused brain imagery to align your mind and body with success.
Tools and Methods I Use
Our sessions draw on gentle but powerful mind-body techniques, tailored to your unique journey:
Brainspotting – to process emotional pain and release stored tension that may affect mood and resilience.
Somatic and Mindfulness Practices – to calm the body’s stress response and bring presence into daily life.
Emotionally Focused and Attachment-Based Work – to strengthen emotional connection within yourself and with your partner.
Cognitive and Behavioral Strategies – to identify and shift the thought patterns that heighten stress or self-criticism.
Spiritual and Depth-Oriented Exploration – when appropriate, integrating meaning and trust in the greater journey.
Areas We Can Work On Together
Each fertility story is different, and no one should walk it alone. Our work together can support you through many stages of this journey, including:
Navigating Infertility and Emotional Well-Being
Dealing with repeated disappointment, failed treatments, or the uncertainty of “what next” can take a toll on your mental and physical health. Together, we focus on reducing stress, restoring calm, and developing tools that support both your emotional resilience and your body’s readiness for conception.
Secondary Infertility
If you already have one child but find yourself struggling to conceive again, you may feel guilty for wanting more or isolated when others assume your family is “complete.” Therapy helps you process these emotions, strengthen self-compassion, and find balance between gratitude and longing.
Donor Conception and Surrogacy
Whether you’re considering a donor egg, embryo, or sperm, or working with a gestational carrier, this process can raise complex feelings about identity, belonging, and control. We’ll create space to explore the emotional layers of these decisions with honesty and care, so you can move forward with clarity and peace.
More Areas We Can Work On Together
Induced Lactation and Bonding
Some parents choose to induce lactation to create a physical and emotional bond with their baby, even when they haven’t carried the pregnancy. I can help you navigate the emotional aspects of this process—preparing your body, setting realistic expectations, and integrating the experience into your sense of motherhood and connection.
Becoming a Parent Later in Life
Parenthood at a later stage can bring immense joy and meaning, but it can also come with mixed emotions—from being surrounded by younger parents to concerns about energy, health, and belonging. Together, we’ll honor your journey, strengthen your confidence, and help you feel grounded and proud in the family you’ve built.
Reconnection and Meaning
Fertility challenges often disrupt your sense of connection—to yourself, your body, your partner, friends, colleagues, and even to your faith or sense of purpose. In our work, we rebuild those connections so you can feel more whole and supported. You’ll learn to trust your body again, deepen emotional intimacy with your partner, open space for authentic relationships, and reconnect with meaning and spirituality in a way that feels personal and real.
The Path Forward
You don’t have to go through this alone.
With the right tools and compassionate guidance, it’s possible to feel calmer, clearer, and more hopeful — even in uncertainty.
Let’s work together to create space for peace, strength, and connection — within you and within your journey.

The connection between stress and fertility
The connection between stress and fertility is well documented in medical and scientific research. High levels of stress can disrupt hormonal balance, interfere with ovulation, and impact overall reproductive health. Stress triggers the release of hormones like cortisol, which can negatively affect the menstrual cycle and sperm quality, making it more challenging to conceive.
However, it’s important to approach this topic with sensitivity. The idea of being completely stress-free can add unnecessary guilt and pressure to those already navigating the emotional and physical challenges of fertility. Stress is a natural part of the human experience, and addressing it should be done with compassion and understanding. Talking to someone and learning stress-regulation tools can be incredibly beneficial in managing stress more effectively, providing support and practical strategies to help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed.
Research from Harvard Health Publishing and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine confirms that chronic stress can influence hormonal balance and fertility outcomes, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being as part of comprehensive fertility care.

On the day you receive that call or when it’s time to reach out to your doctor’s office, I’ll be on the phone with you to help you breathe, regulate your emotions, and regain your footing.
